How to Connect a Dell Axim to an Ethernet Network

Dell Axim's can do many of the same things that a personal computer can in a smaller package. A handy feature is the ability to connect your Axim to the Internet using an Ethernet card. Follow these steps to connect a Dell Axim to an Ethernet network.

Things You'll Need:

  • Dell Axim
  1. Step 1

    Plug the Ethernet cable into your Axim. The Ethernet jack should be located on the back of your Axim.

  2. Step 2

    From the “Start” menu, go to “Settings.” This will give you numerous options for how you want to set up your Axim.

  3. Step 3

    Click “Connections.” This will give you a list of ways to connect your Axim to the Internet.

  4. Step 4

    Select "Local area connection." This will give you a list of the Internet signals you're receiving through your Ethernet cable.

  5. Step 5

    Click “Connect” and connect to the Ethernet connection.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the Ethernet cable is firmly plugged into your Axim.
  • A password may be required for secure networks.
