Bluetooth devices are a great way to connect extra devices to your phone or PDA without having to deal with a lot of pesky wires. A Bluetooth-enabled phone or PDA will allow you to wirelessly control all sorts of things ranging from hands-free microphones to cameras. Follow these steps to connect a Bluetooth device to a Dell Axim.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Bluetooth device
  • Dell Axim
Step1
On your Axim, tap the "Bluetooth" button. This button should be located near the bottom of your screen.
Step2
Click the “Turn on Bluetooth” box. This box needs to be checked in order for your Axim to look for devices.
Step3
Tap the “Devices” button. This button is also located toward the bottom of your screen.
Step4
Click the “New Partnership” icon. This will cause your Axim to pause for a moment while it searches for Bluetooth devices in your area.
Step5
Select the Bluetooth-enabled device you want to use. If there's more than one device listed, check to make sure the names of the devices match up.
Step6
Enter the security code for your device. It's a four-digit code that's located on your Bluetooth device’s box.
Step7
Click “Finish.” This will cause the device and phone to link up.

Tips & Warnings

  • The security code for most Bluetooth devices is 0000. That's four of the number zero not the letter O.
  • Bluetooth devices may cause you to have to charge your telephone more.
