How to Connect a Bluetooth Device to a Dell Axim

Bluetooth devices are a great way to connect extra devices to your phone or PDA without having to deal with a lot of pesky wires. A Bluetooth-enabled phone or PDA will allow you to wirelessly control all sorts of things ranging from hands-free microphones to cameras. Follow these steps to connect a Bluetooth device to a Dell Axim.

Things You'll Need:

  • Bluetooth device
  • Dell Axim
  1. Step 1

    On your Axim, tap the "Bluetooth" button. This button should be located near the bottom of your screen.

  2. Step 2

    Click the “Turn on Bluetooth” box. This box needs to be checked in order for your Axim to look for devices.

  3. Step 3

    Tap the “Devices” button. This button is also located toward the bottom of your screen.

  4. Step 4

    Click the “New Partnership” icon. This will cause your Axim to pause for a moment while it searches for Bluetooth devices in your area.

  5. Step 5

    Select the Bluetooth-enabled device you want to use. If there's more than one device listed, check to make sure the names of the devices match up.

  6. Step 6

    Enter the security code for your device. It's a four-digit code that's located on your Bluetooth device’s box.

  7. Step 7

    Click “Finish.” This will cause the device and phone to link up.

Tips & Warnings
  • The security code for most Bluetooth devices is 0000. That's four of the number zero not the letter O.
  • Bluetooth devices may cause you to have to charge your telephone more.
