Step 1
Go to "Applications" on your Treo smartphone and select "VersaMail" to configure the device to check POP3 email.

Access the "Account Setup" screen and open "Select Accounts." Choose "Account Setup." Punch the "New" button at the bottom of the "Account Setup" screen.

Name the account in the proper field--for example "Poodle News"--and head down to the "Mail Service" list. Choose your email server by picking the "Other" option and filling in information as needed.

Move down the "Account Setup" window and choose "POP3" from the Protocol list. Now your Treo Smartphone will receive POP3 email. Now click "Next" to continue the set up process. You'll be sent to a new window, which will bear the name of your new account.

Enter the username that you use with the account as well as your password. Click "Next."

Write in your email address and the addresses of your incoming and outgoing email server. Push the "Next" button when you're finished.

Select the "Done" button on the next page. This completes the set up process and routes you to the account's inbox. Check for your POP3 email messages.

Go to "Applications" on your Treo smartphone and select "VersaMail" to check POP3 email from an existing email account.

Select Accounts and then choose the name of the account that you created to check POP3 email. Click "Get" to read your email.
