How to Use Internet Explorer Mobile on an HP iPAQ

Internet access is an essential part of using computers and PDAs. Your HP iPAQ is installed with Internet Explorer Mobile in order to make it easier for you to explore the Internet and access some of your favorite sites. Follow these steps to learn how to use Internet Explorer Mobile on an HP iPAQ.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • HP iPAQ
  1. Step 1

    Connect to the Internet by using a network or an ISP. This can be done with a wireless card, a Bluetooth device or by using other software.

  2. Step 2

    Use ActiveSync to synchronize your favorite Web sites from your personal computer to your PDA. The files from your Favorites folder on your computer will be transferred to the Mobile Favorites folder on your iPAQ.

  3. Step 3

    Tap the Start menu button on your screen. Touch the Internet Explorer logo to open up the program.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the Web address into the address bar at the top of the screen. You can also tap the Favorites button in order to access the favorites from your computer.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can access previously entered sites by tapping the arrow next to the address bar. Scroll through the Web sites until you find the one you want to access.
  • Do not access any sites that are not reputable. These sites can affect your iPAQ with viruses, which are difficult to clean from a PDA.
