With the technology innovations being made today, it is very common for PocketPCs, including the Dell Axim, to provide users with Internet access. If you are a new owner of a Dell Axim, however, you may need some assistance when attempting to browse the Internet. Follow these steps to learn how to browse the Internet on a Dell Axim.

  • Internet access
  • Dell Axim

Step1
Look into online programs. Because of the limited options available with the Internet on Dell Axims, it may be beneficial to look into Internet enhancing programs.
Step2
Remember that some programs include ftxbrowser, PIEPlus and MultilIE, which add more functionality to your browser. There are also other browser options such as Thunder Hawk and Net Front that convert Web pages to your Dell Axim for better viewing and access.
Step3
Connect to the Internet. This can be done by connecting to a PC that has Internet access.
Step4
Use Pocket Internet Explorer. PIE is installed into your Dell Axim for you to browse Web sites online.

Tips & Warnings

  • The first few times you browse online may be difficult, but once you get used to the PIE system you’ll better understand how to browse efficiently.
  • You may need to vertically and horizontally scroll to see certain portions of the Web site.
