How to Beam a Photo to Someone on an HP iPAQ

Beaming is a process used to transfer items like documents or photos from HP iPAQs to other devices such as computers, printers or other pocket PCs. If you are a new user to HP iPAQs, you may need assistance on how to properly beam a photo. Follow these steps to learn how to beam a photo to someone on an HP iPAQ.

Things You'll Need:

  • HP iPAQ
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your HP iPAQ. You can do this by pressing and holding the power button. Make sure the battery is charged properly before beginning any application.

  2. Step 2

    Open the Pictures program. From the Start menu choose Programs. Now you are able to choose Pictures from the Programs list to open the program.

  3. Step 3

    Choose a photo. From your pictures, choose the one you would like to send by clicking on it.

  4. Step 4

    Select an option from the menu. Click on Menu and then click Beam. By doing this you will beam the photo you have chosen.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to save a copy of the photo before beaming it.
  • Check the range requirements for beaming so that you are within distance of the device you’re beaming the photo to. This may also determine whether or not you need to connect to the other device with a cable.
  • Before beaming a photo, be sure that all other items that have been beamed to you have been received or it won’t let you beam to other devices.
