How to Beam a Document to Someone on an HP iPAQ

Using Bluetooth technology has become increasingly simple for those with Pocket PCs such as iPAQs to communicate with one another. For those first time users of iPAQs, it may not be easy at first unless you are familiar with the process involved. Follow these steps to become more familiar with how to beam a document to someone on an HP iPAQ.

Things You'll Need:

  • HP iPAQ
  1. Step 1

    Turn on your HP iPAQ. Press and hold the Power button to do this. Ensure that the battery is fully charged before beginning.

  2. Step 2

    Enter an application. Find the application that your document is in by clicking Start, then Programs. Now click on the desired program from the list provided.

  3. Step 3

    Find your document. Once in the correct application you can choose the document by clicking on its name.

  4. Step 4

    Go to your Start menu. Click on the Settings tab, which will take you to the Connections menu. This menu will give you the option to beam a document.

  5. Step 5

    Click Beam. Once you have chosen this option, beaming will begin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure the path between your iPAQ and the device you plan to infrared beam to is clear.
  • Before beaming a document, be sure there are no incoming documents. If there are, you must receive them all before being able to send any.
  • Check your battery life before beaming a document, because if it is too low you may not be able to beam anything.
