1. Download and install Microsoft’s ActiveSync software to your home computer. You can do this by going to Microsoft’s Web site and follow the directions there. This is the best program for this type of application.
2. Connect your Treo Smartphone to your home computer via USB cable, which is sometimes called a sync cable. Make sure the ends correspond to their intended entry points before jamming them in and possibly causing damage to your equipment.
3. Allow the two devices to communicate with each other. The synchronization occurs automatically. There is no need to do anything while the devices are being synchronized.
4. Start the synchronization process manually if it does not start automatically. To do this, click on the start menu which is usually at the bottom left corner of the screen. From that menu, choose “Programs” and then “Microsoft ActiveSync” from there. Finally, choose the “Sync” option to begin synchronizing.
