With email as a regular part of everyday life, the technology is available to be in written contact with anyone at any time. The Dell Axim is right in line with the times. Just a few simple steps allow you to send email on a Dell Axim wherever you are and whenever you want.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Dell Axim
  1. Step 1

Launch the MS Pocket Outlook email feature from the desktop screen of your Dell Axim.

  2. Step 2

Wait for the program to open, giving you access to your inbox.

  3. Step 3

Click on “New Message” or open a previous message and click on “Reply” or “Reply All.” A new window for your new message will appear.

  4. Step 4

Add or remove email recipients, depending on which feature you are using–new message or reply.

  5. Step 5

Type your message in the body of the email. Add a subject to the message.

  6. Step 6

“Spell check” the email. This can be done manually, and just like Outlook on your PC, a red line will appear under misspelled words.

  7. Step 7

Click on “Send” in the upper left corner of the message. Wait for Outlook to bring you back to the inbox to confirm the email was sent.

  8. Step 8

Check the “Sent” mail box on the left panel to confirm the email has been delivered.

Tips & Warnings
  • Label your message in the subject area, and make sure it is something common that won’t get picked up by the recipient's junk inbox folder. Leave swear words and misspellings out.
  • While the email will prompt you to add a subject and/or text in the body of the email, these are not required to send an email.
  • Immediately flag unwanted email you receive as “junk.” The junk inbox is on the panel to the left of the screen with the inbox and sent box.
  • Spell check often picks up mistakes, but make sure the word is being replaced with the correct option. Just because a word is spelled correctly does not mean it is the right choice for that sentence.
