Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • HP iPAQ
  1. Step 1

Determine what type of networking or telephony devices you have installed on your iPAQ. Check to see if you have a Wi-Fi card, a modem or Ethernet port or Bluetooth. When in doubt, consult your owner's manual.

  2. Step 2

Check your connection status by clicking "Start," then "Settings," then the "Connections" tab and then "Connections."

  3. Step 3

Open a browser by clicking "Start," then "Internet Explorer" and then "Address Bar."

  4. Step 4

Type the name of the Web site you wish to visit into the address bar of Internet Explorer. After entering the URL name, click "Go."

  5. Step 5

Use the "Forward" and "Back" navigation buttons in Internet Explorer to navigate Web sites. If you wish to save a URL as a favorite, click on "Favorites" in Internet Explorer to save a site URL or to bring up previously saved Web site addresses.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to consult your iPAQ owner's manual when you install or set up network, modem or Wi-Fi cards. Only use cards recommended by HP. If you cannot connect to a network or dial-up, you will not be able to surf the Web or use your email.
  • When browsing the Web on a network or Wi-Fi connection, be sure you have security software installed and activated to protect your sensitive data.
