Bluetooth lets you beam business cards to other PDAs from your HP iPAQ instantly. Here’s how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • HP iPAQ

Step1
Set up your business card. Open up the "Contacts" application and create a contact for yourself. Include your name, title, e-mail address and phone number.
Step2
Go back to the "Today" screen. Tap the "Bluetooth" icon in the corner and select "Bluetooth Settings." Tap the tab for “Information Exchange.”
Step3
Tap the icon to the right of “My Business Card (vCard)." The icon resembles a little contact card with a "V" on it.
Step4
Choose your contact from the list. Select the entry you just made.
Step5
Go back to the "Today" screen, tap "Start" and then “Bluetooth Manager.”
Step6
Tap the "Business Card" icon. This appears on the bottom bar, to the right of the “New,” “Tools” and “View” menus.
Step7
Select “Send.” Then select a device to receive your vCard. Tap "OK."

Tips & Warnings

  • You can request business cards. Select “Request” from the business card screen and tap the device from which you want to request a vCard.
  • You also can send documents and files through Bluetooth.
  • To avoid “bluejacking,” make sure your device is not discoverable when its not being used.
