How to Remove a Web Page From the Yahoo! Member Pages Directory

If you no longer want your Web page listed on the Yahoo! Member Pages Directory, you can remove it from the directory yet still keep it online. Removing your Web page from the directory is an easy task. Follow these steps.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo! account
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Yahoo! GeoCities homepage. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password.

  2. Step 2

    Explore your GeoCities homepage. You will have access to many tools for your Web page, including a removal option.

  3. Step 3

    Click “Edit” under the heading “My Listings.” This will take you to a page that allows you to edit or remove your page from the directory.

  4. Step 4

    Click “Remove.” This will start the removal process.

  5. Step 5

    Click “Delete.” This will save the change and tell the service that you no longer wish to have your Web page listed on the directory.

Tips & Warnings
  • You will still be able to access the page using your file manager.
  • Removing a Web page from the directory does not mean it is off the Internet.
