If you change the topic of your Yahoo! Web page, you will want to change the category of your listing in the Member Pages Directory. This will make sure that you continue to get an audience for your Web page. It will also ensure that it is the right one. Follow these steps to change a Web page category in the Yahoo! Member Pages Directory.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo! account
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Yahoo! GeoCities home page. From this page you can do almost anything with your GeoCities Web site.

  2. Step 2

    Search through the categories. This will give you ideas of which category you want your site listed under.

  3. Step 3

    When you find one that matches your Web page’s category, click “List My Page Here” next to it. This will start the actual process of changing your category.

  4. Step 4

    Click the category’s name. This will confirm that you chose the right category in the prior step.

  5. Step 5

    Select the “Radio” button and then click "Next." The page is now all set to be moved from the old category to the new one.

  6. Step 6

    Click “Continue”. This will confirm that you are not making any mistakes concerning the listing.

  7. Step 7

    Click “List Page.” This will save all of the changes and start re-listing your page.

  • Changes to Websites usually take about 24 hours to show up.
  • Make sure you are listing your Web page in the proper category.
