A guestbook allows the visitors to your Web site to leave you comments, much like an email form. Guestbooks open up the lines of communication between a Web site author and Web site visitor. Communication is paramount when running a Web site. Without it you may never get any good ideas on how to develop your Web site. Follow these steps to learn how to add a guestbook to your GeoCities Web site.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo! account

Step1
When editing your Web site, select "Interactive" from the insert menu. This will give you a list of add-on features for your GeoCities Web site.
Step2
Choose "Guestbook."
Step3
Wait for the "Guestbook Wizard" to appear. Click "Begin" when it does appear.
Step4
Follow the on-screen directions to name your guestbook, color it and use other creative features. Creating the guestbook is fairly self-explanatory when using the Wizard.
Step5
When you are finished creating a guestbook, click "Done." This will save your changes and put the guestbook on your Web site.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember to save your work after you have modified your Web page or you will have to do it all over again.
