How to Create a New Web Page Using Yahoo! PageWizards

Yahoo! PageWizards allows you to create a new Web page easily and quickly in five to 20 minutes. PageWizards takes you through the process step by step and does not require any knowledge of Web design or HTML code. All you need is an idea for your Web site, the words and pictures to put on it, and a little bit of time. Follow these steps to create a new Web page using Yahoo! PageWizards.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet access
• Computer
• Yahoo! account

1. Connect your computer to the Internet. Ideally, use a high-speed connection as PageWizards will work best with one.
2. Create a Yahoo! account. You can do this by visiting the Yahoo! Web site.
3. Sign into your account. You will need your Yahoo! ID and the password you specified when you signed up. You can not access PageWizards unless you are signed into your Yahoo! account.
4. Visit the GeoCities page. Select the PageWizard template that is similar to what you want your Web site to look like.
5. Click the template you have chosen and follow the onscreen instructions to enter text, pictures and other information about your page.
6. Look for your new Web address. When you have finished entering all your information, the Web address of your new page will appear at the bottom of the window. Click on it to view your newly created Web page.

• For more control and less hand-holding in creating your Web site, use Yahoo! PageBuilder. It allows you more flexibility in the layout of your Web page.
• For a speedier PageWizards experience, close non-essential browser windows and programs while creating your new Web page
• Never post inappropriate material. Anything you post on your site can be viewed by anybody with an Internet connection.
