Posting a stock quote section on your Geocities page is simple to do and may serve as a good resource if you use your site for business purposes. Below is a list of simple steps to guide you through the process of adding Yahoo Stock information to your GeoCities Web page.

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Geocities account
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Geocities Web site. Enter your user name and password. On the main page, click on the "Create and Update" tab under the Geocities control panel.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the "Yahoo PageBuilder." Then click on the link to launch the Yahoo PageBuilder. Next, click on the "Add-ons" buttons on the toolbar of the PageBuilder window, once the PageBuilder opens.

  3. Step 3

    Click on "Instant Info" in the "Categories" section. Find the Yahoo stock quotes icon in the "Add-ons" section of the box.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the title name for your stock quote section and enter the correct stock symbols in the stock ticker section.

  5. Step 5

    Use the stock symbol look up if you are not sure of the stock symbol that goes with the stocks that you want to display.

  6. Step 6

    Choose your currency and your colors for the stock section. Press "OK" and place the stock quotes in a section that is not overlapping another part of your Web page. Save and post your Web page.
