How to Link Your Yahoo Photos to Your GeoCities Web Page

Before you post a link on your Web site to pictures, you must create a separate page dedicated to your pictures. After you have made a picture Web page, follow the steps below to link your Yahoo Photos to your GeoCities Web page.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Geocities account
  1. Step 1

    Copy down on paper the URL or Web address of your picture Web page or the Web address of your online picture storage.

  2. Step 2

    Log on to Geocities by entering your username and password. Click on the create and update tab. Open the Yahoo PageBuilder.

  3. Step 3

    Create a text box by clicking on the text button on the page builder toolbar.

  4. Step 4

    Drag the box that appears on your screen to the position that you want to post the link and click in the middle of the box to activate the cursor. Enter your text, for example link to pictures or my pictures.

  5. Step 5

    Click anywhere on the screen to deactivate the box when you are done entering your text. Now click on the box again to reactivate the link box.

  6. Step 6

    Click on the link button on the PageBuilder toolbar and enter the Web address you wrote down in step 1 and press ok.

  7. Step 7

    Preview your page and click on the link to make sure the link works appropriately.

  8. Step 8

    Save and post your page.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your picture page is accurate and reliable.
  • Make the link clearly visible.
  • To ensure that you have the right Web address, enter your link address carefully and test your link frequently.
