Step1
Locate the JPEG picture file you want to put on your site. Make sure you have it saved to your computer in an easy-to-access place. Remember the name of your file for later.
Step2
Visit the GeoCities Web site and log on to your account.
Step3
Look for the purple "Create and Update" tab on your home page. It will turn from light purple to dark purple when clicked.
Step4
Look for the "File Management Tools" section. It will be almost all the way down at the bottom of the page. There you will find your File Manager.
Step5
Click on your "File Manager" button. When that page opens, click "Open File Manager." Your File Manager will open and that is where all your files are held for your Web site.
Step6
Look for the "Upload Files" button. This will be partway down the page in the right-hand corner over your file names.
Step7
Click on the "Upload Files" button. Now you are at a place where you can upload files. There are blank spaces where the file name will show up after you find it.
Step8
Find the "Browse" button next to the first blank space. This is where you need to know the name of your JPEG file. Look for the file on your computer.
Step9
Repeat the last two steps for every file you need to upload. Use the "Add More Files" button if you need to upload more than five files. This will allow you to upload more files.
Step10
Click "Upload files" button. Wait until you see the message that says "Upload Successful." This will be given when your file is in the system.
