How to Use Ereader on a Palm Tungsten E2

A great thing about the PocketPC technology is the ability to take books with you without having to be burdened with the bulk and weight of them. You can read a book while you’re on your daily subway commute or when your spouse is driving the car. Almost any situation where you need to be entertained for a long period of time is the perfect time for a book. Follow these steps to use an eReader on a Palm Tungsten E2.

Things You’ll Need:

• Owner's manual
• Internet access
• Computer
• Palm tungsten e2

1. Turn your Palm Tungsten E2 on by pressing the "Power" button. This should turn the screen on so you can begin the process.
2. Check to see if your unit already has an eReader program installed on it. If it does not, you will need to do this before continuing. There are several different eReader programs available for a Palm Tungsten E2.
3. Download an eBook onto your personal computer. You cannot download an eBook directly onto your handheld device.
4. Sync your personal computer with your Palm Tungsten E2. This will put the eBook on your handheld device for reading.
5. Select the eReader program on your Palm Tungsten E2. This will launch the eReader program on your device. This will make it possible to read the book you just put on there by looking at the screen.
6. Enter the pass code into the screen so you can unlock the program. This is a security feature so others cannot get your personal information.
7. Flip the pages of the book by using the arrow keys or your stylus to click on the next page. Enjoy using your eReader program to read your favorite eBook.

Tips & Warnings

• It is best to keep the fewest number of books possible on your handheld PC. The files are large and may slow down the device. Instead, keep them saved on your personal computer. It has a larger memory capacity than your handheld.
• You can open up an account to download eBooks directly from the Palm Tungsten E2 company Web site (see link below). This is a secure and centralized location for many of the eBooks that are available for download.
• For security reasons, you cannot edit your credit card information. You must create a whole new account if any of your information changes.
• Check to be certain that the eBook you want to download is compatible with your particular eReader. Some eBooks do not work with some programs.
