Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo! account
  1. Step 1

Open Yahoo! PageBuilder. This is the program you use to create and edit your Web page. Find the PageBuilder icon, or open it from the Programs list.

  2. Step 2

Locate the “Pictures” button. There are a dozen icons in the toolbar at the top of the PageBuilder screen. Click on the “Pictures” button. The Select Picture screen will open.

  3. Step 3

Locate the “Upload” button. Near the middle of the Select Picture screen, you will find brief instructions on beginning the picture uploading process. To the right of these instructions is the “Upload” button. Click that button and the Upload Image window will open.

  4. Step 4

Find the Upload Image window. In this window, you will be asked to click the “Browse” button. Clicking this button allows you to search your PC’s files for the picture you wish to upload.

  5. Step 5

Browse to find your photo. Locate the photo you wish to upload by searching through directories and folders. If you don’t know where to look, try searching through the “My Documents” and “My Pictures” folders. When you find the photo you wish to upload, double-click it or single click it and hit “Enter” or click the “Open” button. You will be taken back to Upload Image window. Click the “Upload” button on the bottom of the window.

  6. Step 6

Click and drag. The picture will now be in the center of the page. You can drag it into place by clicking and dragging it into the text box.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is a good idea to save your Web page’s look and design before making any changes, especially if the Yahoo! PageBuilder program is still new to you. If you make an unwanted change or if your computer freezes during the upload, your page would not be lost.
  • Locate your picture before you begin Step 1. Knowing exactly where your photo is stored on your PC make things easier.
  • Organize your photos into one folder or a series of picture folders.
  • Before uploading a photograph of another person to a Web page, make sure that you have their permission.
