How to Set the Date on a Palm PDA

Now that you have finally broken down and bought yourself a handheld palm PDA device, the next step is setting it up for use. One of the PDA’s most common uses is scheduling, so the first thing you should do is set the time and date. Here are five simple steps on how to set the date on a palm PDA.

  • Palm PDA
  1. Step 1

    Tap the “Home” icon on your main screen. Tap it again to bring up the Applications Launcher.

  2. Step 2

    Select “All” from the list of applications in the top right-hand corner of the launcher. This will bring up more options.

  3. Step 3

    Tap the “Prefs” application from the next launcher. You may have to scroll to find it if your handheld has several applications.

  4. Step 4

    Under the main heading, choose “Date & Time.” Click the “Date” option.

  5. Step 5

    Select the correct date on the calendar that appears. Click “OK.”

Tips & Warnings
  • You must click “OK” for the date to be saved. If you do not, the date will not be set.
  • If you do not set the date on your handheld, your alarms will not go off as scheduled.
