To receive calls from a mobile phone on Skype, users must purchase a SkypeIn number. To do this, you must have already downloaded Skype and SkypeOut. Follow these steps to learn how to receive calls from a mobile phone on Skype.

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Skype account
  1. Step 1

    Open your Internet browser and go to the Skype Web site (see link below). Here you can create, download and purchase a Skype account. If you already have a Skype account, just log in.

  2. Step 2

    Log into your personal account and click the "Home" button. Click on the "SkypeIn" link on the left side of the page.

  3. Step 3

    If you are not familiar with a SkypeIn, review this Web page now. You are allowed up to 10 SkypeIn numbers for people to call using regular phones.

  4. Step 4

    Move down to the bottom of the page once you have reviewed and understand the information on SkypeIn. Click on the "Buy a SkypeIn Number" link.

  5. Step 5

    Walk through the process of purchasing and setting up your SkypeIn number. Once you have received your number, give it out to friends and relatives. You will now be able to receive calls from them from their mobile phones.

Tips & Warnings
  • People may use EpyxMobile to call Skype users. EpyxMobile also allows people to receive calls from any Skype user using their mobile phone.
  • You may have up to 10 SkypeIn phone numbers.
