To save a web page created with Yahoo PageBuilder, there are a few simple steps to follow. Yahoo PageBuilder was designed so that users with little or no knowledge of page building or HTML code could create and edit a personal web space to share with anyone who might be interested. It is an easy program to learn and use. Follow these steps to save a web page created with Yahoo PageBuilder.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo account
  1. Step 1

Get online. Yahoo PageBuilder is a web-based program to create material for the Internet.

  2. Step 2

Get a free Yahoo account. Visit the Yahoo website and click “Sign up.” Follow the onscreen prompts and write down your choice of Yahoo ID and your password.

  3. Step 3

Start PageBuilder. You can download the program to your computer, but most people start it by visiting the GeoCities website (see Resources) and clicking “Launch PageBuilder.”

  4. Step 4

Open or start a page you want to save. Click the “Open” icon to access a previously created page or "New" to add a new page.

  5. Step 5

Edit or create your page. Use PageBuilder's many tools to add words, pictures, music and background to personalize your web space.

  6. Step 6

Save your changes for later viewing. To save the changes you have made to your web page, click the “Save” icon at the upper left corner of your screen.

  7. Step 7

Name your page. Your page name must be made up of numbers, letters and underscores. An example is “my_page” with no spaces.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always save your work before closing PageBuilder. If you don't, your changes will be lost and you’ll have to repeat them.
  • If you are able, use a high-speed Internet connection to expedite the web designing.
  • Do not post any material on your page that is not in compliance with the Yahoo Terms of Use statement. Inappropriate material will result in Yahoo's revoking your page.
