How to Remove a Background Image from a Web Page in Yahoo PageBuilder

Editing your website pages has never been easier, thanks to Yahoo PageBuilder. Its point-and-click navigation offers a "what you see is what you get" format that makes removing a background image from a web page a snap.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo account
  1. Step 1

    Connect to the Internet. When using Yahoo PageBuilder, a high-speed Internet connection is ideal.

  2. Step 2

    Log into Yahoo. You can set up an account by visiting the Yahoo website.

  3. Step 3

    Launch Yahoo PageBuilder. Visit the GeoCities website (See Resources) and under the heading "Getting Started," click on "Launch PageBuilder." This will open a new window in which PageBuilder will appear.

  4. Step 4

    Open your web page. Click on the "Open" icon on the left side of the toolbar and locate the web page to which you've added a background image.

  5. Step 5

    Locate the icon for your background image. It will appear as a square box with yellow tiles in the lower left corner of your screen, no matter how far you scroll up or down the page.

  6. Step 6

    Select the box by clicking on it, and then press the Delete key. Your background image should then be deleted.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget to save your page before exiting PageBuilder.
  • To enrich your PageBuilder experience, download the program so you don't have to wait for it to launch each time you want to edit your page.
