Yahoo! PageWizards is an outstanding program that leads you through each step of the process for creating a new Web page. But what if you want to edit an existing Web page? You also can do that with Yahoo! PageWizards.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Yahoo! account

Step1
Open the PageWizards site.
Step2
Click on any of the PageWizards templates you see there. This will bring up the same dialogue box you used to create your Web page.
Step3
Select “Edit existing page” instead of “Create new page.” Then, from the dropdown menu, select the page you want to edit.
Step4
With your Web page selected, click the “Next” button at the bottom of the window. This will bring your page into PageWizards and allow you to edit its appearance and content in the same way you created it.
Step5
Click your way through the step-by-step instructions, making changes where you like. When you get to the end, your page's URL should appear and you can view your finished published page.

Tips & Warnings

  • At any time in the PageWizards step-by-step process you can select the “Preview” button to see what your page looks like at that point in its construction.
  • If possible, use a high-speed Internet connection when using Yahoo! PageWizards. This will speed the entire Web design process.
  • If you want to make additional, more complicated changes to your site, use Yahoo! PageBuilder. It is a similar program, but is more flexible in that it allows you to make more layout changes.
  • Never post material on your Web page that you would not be comfortable sharing with everyone you know. Anyone with an Internet connection has the ability to view your website.
