Adding a background image to a Web page in Yahoo! PageBuilder requires only a few minutes, a Yahoo! account and an image. PageBuilder is a simple, largely intuitive program. Follow these steps to add a background image to a Web page in Yahoo! PageBuilder.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo! account
  1. Step 1

    Connect your computer to the Internet. Yahoo! PageBuilder is Web based and cannot be accessed offline.

  2. Step 2

    Log into your Yahoo! account. If you do not have an account, you must start one from the Yahoo! Web site before you can access PageBuilder.

  3. Step 3

    Visit the PageBuilder launch page and click the "Launch PageBuilder” option. It may take minutes to start.

  4. Step 4

    Click the “Open” icon to locate your page or select the “New” icon to create a new page. You can find both icons at the top left of the toolbar in the PageBuilder window.

  5. Step 5

    Click the “Format” option from the top menu, then select the “Background” option. From this dialogue box you can select as your background either an image from your computer or a stock image from Yahoo!.

  6. Step 6

    Select an image from your own computer. Click the “Upload” option, and then the “Browse” option. Search your files for an appropriate image.

  7. Step 7

    Select one of Yahoo!’s stock backgrounds. You can also click the “Add Ons” button and then choose the "Backgrounds" option. After selecting a background, pick the “OK" option.

Tips & Warnings
  • Downloading Yahoo! PageBuilder program to your computer will speed your log in.
  • Enable pop-ups and make sure that your computer and browser are JavaScript capable before using Yahoo! PageBuilder.
  • Read the Yahoo! terms-of-use policy before posting anything on your page which might be considered inappropriate.
