How to Activate Skype Voicemail

Skype's voicemail service works much like any traditional voicemail service from any phone company. When you first purchase Skype's voicemail services, you must activate the voicemail account before it can work. Follow these steps.

• Internet access
• Computer
• Skype account

Instructions

1. Log in to your Skype account. You can only purchase or activate voicemail when you are logged in and have full access to your account.

2. Purchase voicemail. Either buy a SkypeIn number, in which your voicemail subscription is free, or order Skype voicemail through Skype's online accessory store.

3. Click on the "Your Account" option to access your account. You should be able to access your voicemail account information.

4. Go to voicemail and alter the settings to match your preferances.

Tips & Warnings

• Once Skype has processed your payment, you should be able to access your voicemail.

• If your voicemail is inactive, log out from your Skype account then log back in. Your account will reset itself to any new settings.

• Your Skype voicemail is not automatically extended so periodically check your account to determine when you must resubscribe.
