Palm PDAs initially were used for simple business functions, but you can also store and view pictures and listen to MP3's with the device. They have become comparable to personal computers in function, but surpass them in style and convenience. Here is how to buy a palm PDA that displays digital photos.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Think about how much you want to spend. Expect to pay at least $150 for a Palm PDA that displays pictures. The Tungsten E2 is one of the least expensive Palm PDAs that displays photos.

  2. Step 2

Think about how you will use the Palm PDA. You may want to have a PDA with a camera.

  3. Step 3

Make sure that the Palm PDA has at least 32 MB of RAM and A 200MHz processor to display photos. Other PDA models with less memory and processor speed may display photos, but they will eat up memory and slow down the processor.

  4. Step 4

Research what software comes with the Palm PDA. Firepad is a commonly used program for viewing photos. SplashPhoto is a more versatile program for viewing pictures.

  5. Step 5

Check for compatibly of the device. Some Palm PDAs are only compatible with Macintosh operating systems, while some newer models are compatible with both.

  6. Step 6

Research Palms online or in consumer magazines. Check for side-by-side comparisons and customer reviews.

  7. Step 7

Visit an electronics store and test the devices. Compare the prices with those online.
