Things You'll Need:

Step 1
Visit the Canon Web site. Canon has drivers for every printer they make available for downloading (see Resources below).

Select your country from the "Downloads" section located at the bottom of the page. This will tell the site how to present the succeeding pages.

Click "Downloads" at the top of the next page. This will carry you to a menu where you will be asked if you are a professional or a consumer.

On the pull-down menu select "Consumer." Choose "Printers" from the menu that appears. This will give you access to all of the printers Canon makes.

Select the model name of your printer from the next list.

Choose your printer's model number.

Select the "Drivers/ Software" link. A list of drivers available for downloading will appear.

Step 8
Choose the driver that is compatible with your computer’s operating system. The downloading process will begin.
