How to Recharge the Battery on a Palm Z22

The Palm Z22 is a popular entry-level PDA. One of its strengths is its long battery life. It can operate for an impressive amount of time before running out of power—as long as five days with average use. But it will discharge eventually and the user must see to it that the battery is recharged properly. Follow these steps to learn how to recharge the battery on a Palm Z22.

  1. Step 1

    Check the battery icon regularly to see if the battery requires recharging. The Palm Z22 has battery icon on the top of the "Home" screen. This is the battery life indicator.

  2. Step 2

    Plug the power cable into an electrical outlet. The Palm Z22 comes with a power cable.

  3. Step 3

    Attach the other end of the power cable to the port on the head of the Palm—the same port used for mini-USB syncing. The PDA will begin charging.

  4. Step 4

    Check the battery indicator occasionally to keep track of the recharging progress.

  5. Step 5

    Remove the cable from its outlet and disconnect it from the Palm Z22. When the battery indicator is full, recharging is complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is a good idea to recharge your Palm Z22 for at least a half hour every day.
  • A good time to recharge your Palm Z22 is at night when you are asleep.
  • The Palm Z22 will charge up while attached to a computer using the mini-USB connector, but charging in this way is much slower than using the AC adapter.
