What to Do
-
1
Check your version number. You can find this either written on the printer or in the documentation. It should have a letter and a number and possibly a name, such as LBP-1189 or Pixma Pro 5900. Now, visit to the Canon website.
-
2
Click "Support", then "Product Support," under the heading "Consumers."
-
-
3
Select your model. You will see three drop down menus. Select your device type, which is printer, then your model series and then your specific model number.
-
4
Click "Drivers/Software." On the support page that pops-up, you should find this link under "Downloads."
-
5
Select your driver to download. You should get a list of downloads. Find a driver that matches your OS and platform.
-
6
Read the user agreement. Click "I Agree."
-
7
Save the file to your computer. Now, run the file to install the printer drivers.
