How to Find a Blog on Blogger

The word "blog" comes from the term "Web log," which describes a Web site in the format of an online journal. Whatever your interests, chances are good that there are blogs covering them. Blogger is a blogging community where you can find blogs on just about any topic.

Instructions

1. Visit www.blogger.com.

2. Locate the search box near the top of Blogger's home page.

3. Type in a word or two that describe your topic of interest. You may also type in a phrase or a series of words.

4. Click on "Search Blogs" and view your results. The first results will be blogs with your search words in the blog name. The lower portion of the results will be individual blog posts that include your search words.

5. Click on "Advanced Search" to be directed to a page where you can narrow down your results. Here, you can exclude words, narrow your results by date and specify which languages to include in your search.

6. Click on the links for the blogs you want to visit. Happy reading!

Tips & Warnings

• Be as specific as possible when typing in search words. For example, if you search for "recipe chicken," you'll get a much longer list of results than if you type in "recipe chicken Italian bake."

• If you use the "Advanced Search" option, you can use "SafeSearch" to filter out objectionable content.

• Remember that if you find individual blog posts with your search words, the overall blog may be about a different topic.
