How to Market a Pay-Per-Lead Campaign on Craigslist

Craigslist is one the premiere sites on the Internet and one of the best places to market your goods or services. The Craigslist classifieds are read by thousands, and you will likely find someone looking for your services. Unlike the large search engines, Craigslist does not offer any pay-per-lead features but you can market your own pay-per-lead campaign in their classifieds.

Instructions

1. Visit the Craigslist Web site and sign up for an account. You will receive an email with a link to activate your account.

2. Follow the directions in the email to finalize the account. Once you have an account, you can then start posting to the Craigslist classifieds.

3. Choose a city or state from the list at the top of the page. You can post to as many geographic regions as you'd like.

4. Click on the "Post to Classifieds" link in the top left corner of the page. Under the heading "What kind of posting is this," select "Services Offered."

5. Select "Small Biz Ads" or "Creative Services." Now select the city nearest you or the location where you want to market your business.

6. Give your posting a title and description in the posting form. Fill in your email address as well. Click on the "Continue" button at the bottom.

7. Review your information, type in the verification word and click the "Continue" button.

8. Read the terms of use and press the "Accept Terms of Use" button at the bottom of the page.

9. Check your email for the self-posting instructions. Click the link in the email to go to the self-publishing form. Make any final changes, and then select publish. Your ad will appear on the site in about 15 minutes.
