MySpace is a great way for people to meet each other and share information about themselves. A recently added feature to MySpace is the ability to upload video. This feature allows you to enhance your MySpace page with videos of yourself or other things that interest you, such as movie clips, home videos or music videos. Here's how to upload a video to your MySpace page.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • MySpace account
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

Log on to your MySpace account. If you do not have a MySpace account, sign up for one at the MySpace site (see link below).

  2. Step 2

View your home page, and look for the blue box in the upper-right corner that gives you your editing options.

  3. Step 3

Click on “Add/Change Videos” inside the blue box. Once this page has loaded, look for the “Upload” tab at the top of the screen, which should be next to "My Videos."

  4. Step 4

Enter information about your video, such as your video title, description and any tag words you would like to associate with your video clip.

  5. Step 5

Select the categories you would like your video to be classified in. Mark whether or not you would like your video to be public or private. After you have finished describing your video, click "Continue."

  6. Step 6

A small notification box will appear that says “Upload Film.” Click “Browse” to select your video clip, then click “Upload.”

Tips & Warnings
  • File sizes must be 100 megabytes or less.
  • Depending on your Internet speed, uploading the video could take a while; be patient.
  • To add a video to someone else's "Comments" section, you will need to post HTML code with the URL of the video location. Simply copy the HTML provided by the video host site into your friend’s Comments section.
  • Don't post any inappropriate video clips, or your MySpace account may be automatically terminated.
  • If you click “Public,” any Internet browser can view your MySpace video.
