Join several groups or blog groups that are related to your business. Be an active member and encourage others to patronize your business.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you are new to MySpace, you have to wait at least seven days before you can post a blog or a classified ad. Use this downtime to gather new friends on the site and compose the list of ideas that will form the core of your business promotion.

    • You may be able to use the forums to promote your business; however, the forum rules state that attention-seeking threads will be deleted. Also the Business and Entrepreneurs forum is chock-full of competition. If you go this route, start your own thread and good luck.

    • You can pay to advertise on MySpace. Down at the bottom of most of the pages you will find an "Advertise" link. Click and you are routed to a page that asks some basic questions about your business. Go down to the "Decision" box and set the time frame to "Research Only" if you are not sure about taking this step.

    • Obey the rules of the road. Do not post pornographic or violent content on MySpace.
