If you run a Web site you'll probably want to add a Flash based form to it at some point. This addition will serve to boost the usability of your site along with an added pizazz for your user. Many times these forms are simple data entry portals. Some add games to the sites. Adding Flash files to your site in the end is just good practice with today's Web environment. Follow these steps to find out how.

Step1
Download the latest copy of the Web site page you're planning on adding the Flash code to.
Step2
Create a back-up copy of the page prior to adding your Flash file.
Step3
Locate the Flash file you're going to add to your site.
Step4
Add the following code to your Web page. Make sure that you change the EMBED SRC = your file name.swf

Save the file now that you've modified it.
Step6
Upload the modified file along with your .swf file to your site.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check to make sure that you have correctly performed this insertion by clearing your cache and viewing your page after changing it.
  • Don't be afraid to modify your site with different looks and different color schemes as you get different viewing rates.
  • Be sure that you create a back-up of your original page in case something goes wrong.
  • Make sure to use the "noembed" command if your viewers routinely use older browsers.
