Walt Disney World truly is one of the best vacation spots in the world. There are very few vacation destinations meant solely to thrill children. Taking a trip to Disney World can be overwhelming, however, if you do not plan properly. Planning for your Disney World trip at Yahoo! Travel can help make your vacation smooth and, well, magical!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Go to the Yahoo! travel Web site (see Resources below).
Step2
Go to the section on the home page titled "Explore the New Destination and Hotel Guides."
Step3
Click on the drop down menu that says "Select a Destination."
Step4
Click on "Orlando."
Step5
Decide if you would like to stay on the Disney property or at a hotel near the property owned by a different company.
Step6
If you would like to book a hotel on the Disney property, click on the "Walt Disney World Orlando Hotels" link.
Step7
If you would rather stay off site, browse the other hotel links provided.
Step8
Once you are on the site where you would like to stay, follow the site's directions for making a reservation.
Step9
If you would like to view package deals, scroll to the bottom of the page.
Step10
You will have to go through Disney's official site to purchase tickets. Or, follow the link for one of the package deals that interests you.

Tips & Warnings

  • Purchasing trip insurance for Disney is a good idea. If you are traveling with children, one of them (or another family member) could become ill at the last minute. Also, Orlando does occasionally have hurricanes.
  • Consider going to other attractions in addition to Disney while you are in Orlando.
  • Investigate Park Hopper Passes for your time at Disney World. Although they are far from cheap, they do offer a slight discount. Look on Disney's official site for this information.
  • Be ware of buying Disney tickets from on line auction sites. There are some people who are ready to take your money without providing the promised goods.
  • Avoid going to Disney World during the weeks surrounding Christmas or Easter. The parks are mobbed and extremely difficult to navigate. Of course, the lines are the longest at those times, too!
