Step 1
Look at the printer. Check all plugs to make sure they are connected properly. Make sure there is paper in the printer.

Borrow someone to help you. Have a friend look at the printer. Is there something you might be missing? Even the most trained eye misses something every now and then.

Pinpoint the problem area. You don’t need to be able to diagnose the exact problem in this step; you just need to narrow your scope. Are you having problems with the ink or paper supply? There is a completely different course of action for each problem area.

Step 4
Find the troubleshooting area in your owner’s manual. You will be able to find step-by-step instructions on how to diagnose and fix common problems. Just follow the instructions here and you should be set.

Step 5
Go to the Epson Web site for more help (see below). There are easy instructions there that can help you with most problems.

Pick up the phone and call customer service. They will be able to guide you through more detailed instructions to get your printer back on track. Also, if you need parts or need to send the printer in for more in depth work, they will be able assist there.
