    Brush up on national history. Due to its rich past relating to American government, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is often considered the "birthplace of the nation."

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't bother getting a rental car. Parking in Philadelphia is extremely expensive. Stick instead to taxi cabs and the SEPTA R1 Regional Rail Line which runs throughout the city.
  • Transport to and from the airport via the SEPTA R1 Regional Rail is not recommended for visitors carrying a great deal of luggage. Take a cab instead.
