Organize Your Accra Transportation

1. Fly into the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). Your best air travel option is to fly into London from a U.S. city and then take a direct flight from London to Accra, Ghana.

2. Ride the rails to a local or national point of interest. The KIA is located near the Ghana rail lines, so visitors can quickly transition from their airplane to a train. Trains go from Accra to Tema, Takoradi and Kumasi.

3. Obtain an international driver's license if you plan on driving in Accra. You can pick these up through your local AAA or AATA.

4. Use public transportation to see the sights. Taking a bus is an easy and safe way to get around Accra.

5. Hire a taxi or private mini-bus, which are locally called Tro-Tros, for more direct travel.
