  1. Step 1

Go to the Mozilla Web site to learn more about Firefox. Also, you can do search on "Portable Firefox" on Google or Yahoo! Portable Firefox is optimized for the USBDrive.

  2. Step 2

After finding a downloadable link, click on the "Download" link and save the file. The file can be saved to your hard disk or directly to your flash drive. This ZIP file requires at least 14 MB of storage space.

  3. Step 3

Check the availability of space on your flash drive. Free up the needed space on the flash drive to accommodate this download, if necessary. Delete unnecessary files or ZIP them depending on the space availability.

  4. Step 4

Unzip the downloaded file on your flash drive. Open the folder "Portable Firefox" and double-click the "Portable Firefox.exe" file. Read the "Installation Wizard" and follow the instructions. Click on "OK" and continue.

  5. Step 5

Select "Finish" to close the window. Firefox is now installed on your flash drive.

  6. Step 6

Eject your flash drive. Go to the"Safely Remove Hardware" option, located at the bottom right of your desktop tray.

  7. Step 7

Remove your flash drive once the computer screen displays "It is now safe to remove your device."

  8. Step 8

For a better browsing experience, you can visit the Mozilla Web site to check for Firefox extensions.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be patient while loading. It often takes a long time for the installation and can be a little frustrating. This occurs especially when your disk capacity does not have enough space to accommodate the application.
  • Do not unzip the file to your hard drive. Unzip it directly to your flash drive or thumb drive.
  • Avoid using flash drives with low memory space. Make sure you install Firefox on flash drives with 128 MB or more.
