Things You'll Need:
- Internet access
- Flash drive
-
Step 1
Go to the Mozilla Web site to learn more about Firefox. Also, you can do search on "Portable Firefox" on Google or Yahoo! Portable Firefox is optimized for the USBDrive.
-
Step 2
After finding a downloadable link, click on the "Download" link and save the file. The file can be saved to your hard disk or directly to your flash drive. This ZIP file requires at least 14 MB of storage space.
-
Step 3
Check the availability of space on your flash drive. Free up the needed space on the flash drive to accommodate this download, if necessary. Delete unnecessary files or ZIP them depending on the space availability.
-
Step 4
Unzip the downloaded file on your flash drive. Open the folder "Portable Firefox" and double-click the "Portable Firefox.exe" file. Read the "Installation Wizard" and follow the instructions. Click on "OK" and continue.
-
Step 5
Select "Finish" to close the window. Firefox is now installed on your flash drive.
-
Step 6
Eject your flash drive. Go to the"Safely Remove Hardware" option, located at the bottom right of your desktop tray.
-
Step 7
Remove your flash drive once the computer screen displays "It is now safe to remove your device."
-
Step 8
For a better browsing experience, you can visit the Mozilla Web site to check for Firefox extensions.

on 11/25/2009 Thanks for the Portable Firefox help. Going to be traveling for the holidays with only my flash drive and using family computers where I stay so this will help get my net surfing stuff quickly.
Boymora, if you are referring to the Drive Icon in the lower right corner, I doubt you have deleted it. It only appears when you insert a flash drive or thumb memory. Hope this helps.
