How to Use HTML on Your MySpace Page

MySpace allows you to insert HTML into your profile so that you can customize the look and feel of your page. Using HTML on your MySpace page will give your homepage the look of a professionally done page. Follow these steps to use HTML on your MySpace page.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • MySpace account
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

    Develop the HTML that you wish to use. You can either code this yourself or search for Web sites that will customize your MySpace page for free. They will provide you with HTML code to paste on your page.

  2. Step 2

    Log into MySpace using your username and password. You have to be logged in to use HTML.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the 'Edit Profile' link. A new page will appear with text boxes for your personal information. Paste your HTML code into the 'About Me' section.

  4. Step 4

    Click on 'Preview Section' to see that the HTML has been recognized. You may have a different background, new icons or some other fancy additions.

  5. Step 5

    Click on the 'Save all Changes' button. This will make your new page viewable to the public and your friends.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you are allowed to use the HTML you want to use. Do not post offensive pictures or videos or they will be taken down.
  • Make sure whatever you post is something you would not mind a total stranger seeing.
  • Make sure the HTML you want to use is not copywritten or in violation of your MySpace terms of use.
