How to Replace a Toner Cartridge in a Lexmark Laser Printer

Running out of ink can be frustrating when you are trying to print a document. Luckily, replacing the toner cartridge in your Lexmark Laser Printer is easy. Just follow these steps:

• Lexmark Laser Printer
• Toner Cartridge

Instructions

1. Open the lid of the printer and take the cartridge out. Search for the identifying make and model numbers in bold print on the cartridge and write them down, along with the model number of your printer.

2. Place the cartridge back into the printer.

3. Have a salesperson at your local store help you find the correct toner cartridge using your model numbers.

4. Open your new cartridge at home and follow all directions on properly removing the packaging.

5. Remove the old cartridge and place it in the garbage (or in a plastic bag if you plan to recycle it).

6. Place the new cartridge in the printer, following the diagram and instructions in your owner's manual or the ones posted on the lid of the printer.

7. Print a test page. If it doesn't work, take the cartridge out and try again.
