Things You'll Need:

  • Laser printer
  1. Step 1

Open the front panel of the printer. Look to see if the jammed paper is visible.

  3. Step 3

Open the next panel. This panel is usually found below the already-open panel.

  4. Step 4

Pull the paper if you see it. Again, do so gently.

  5. Step 5

Open the next panel. This panel can be found towards the back.

  6. Step 6

Pull the paper gently if you can see it. Continue to open any remaining panels, and then remove the toner cartridge.

  7. Step 7

  8. Step 8

Once you have removed the paper, restart the printer. You will have to print your document again.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be gentle when removing the paper. It may rip, giving you less leverage when pulling.
  • Be careful when removing the toner cartridge. You may get ink on your fingers.
  • Do not force any panels open. Panels may break if you use too much force.
  • Unplug the printer before you start removing any panels.
