Prepare your laser printer by pushing the "On" switch and allowing it time to warm up.

Open your word processing software. The more powerful office applications may make your task simpler, but even Windows Notepad will work for this job.

Select "Page Setup." This is usually found under the "File" pull-down menu.

Find the size of the envelope you are using under the paper size option. The sizes are usually designated by both a size code such as A2 or No. 10 and the actual dimensions in either inches or millimeters.

Enter the information that you want to print on your envelope. Choose your font and letter size.
