Posting a new podcast each day gives readers a good reason to visit your blog often. Using TypePad to post your daily podcasts makes it as easy as adding a graphic file to your blog. TypePad's full podcasting support also means that you don't have to create an RSS feed since it's created automatically.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Record your podcast and save it as an MP3 file.

  2. Step 2

Sign in to your TypePad account and select the Post tab to open the page for composing a new post.

  3. Step 3

Type the body of your post. You can title the post if you like, though that's not mandatory.

  4. Step 4

Select 'Insert File' to browse and locate your media file. The code for your uploaded file will be added to your blog post.

  5. Step 5

Select 'Publish Now' on the Posting Status drop-down.

  6. Step 6

Save the post to display the file link for download. The RSS feed will automatically be created in your blog directory.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to post your podcasts at the same time each day.
  • If your podcast contains news or sports items, make sure your information is current at the time you post it.
  • A daily podcast should probably be no more than 10 or 15 minutes long.
  • Avoid using copyrighted music in your podcasts.
  • Password-protected blogs on TypePad cannot contain podcasts. The password protection must be removed to insert a file.
