How to Get your Mechanical Yeti in World of Warcraft

No doubt this is one of the most entertaining quests you will find in World of Warcraft. The beginning is a bit of a grind, but the end of the quest is guaranteed to leave you in stitches!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet access to WOW
• High-powered computer

1. Make sure your character is at least level 54 or you have a big group, otherwise you will not survive on your own.
2. Make your way to Everlook in Winterspring and find Umi, a goblin standing in front of a bunch of machinery. She is on the left as you enter.
3. Accept her “Are we there, Yeti?” quest. You will need to find some Yeti Fur.
4. Head east of Everlook until you find the Ice Thistle Hills. Kill the regular Yetis there until you get enough fur. Do not kill the Matriarchs or Patriarchs yet. They do not drop fur!
5. Return to Umi when you get enough Yeti Fur. She will give you the second part of the Yeti quest: to find 2 Pristine Yeti Horns.
6. Head back to the Ice Thistle Hills and look for a ramp that leads up to a cave in the hills. Inside you will find lots of Matriarchs and Patriarchs.
7. Begin eliminating the Matriarchs and Patriarchs. The trick seems to be that if you attack two at the same time, the horns drop more often.
8. Continue killing Matriarchs and Patriarchs until you get enough horns for your group.
9. Go back to Umi and hand in the horns. Now comes the best part--you must find Umi's friends in Winterspring, Gadgetzan and Un’Goro crater and use the Mechanical Yeti to scare them.
10. Get near Umi’s friends in Winterspring, Gadgetzan and Un’Goro, highlight them and release the Mechanical Yeti!
11. Watch hilarity ensue as they run away screaming, the little Yeti hot on their trail!
12. Return to Umi after you have scared all her friends. She will give you your own Mechanical Yeti. This little guy isn’t all that powerful, but he is a ton of fun to watch. Just make sure you don’t pull him out just before a big boss fight; he may go straight for the boss!

• Consider taking a few screenshots as Quixil in Un’Goro shouts, “Why do you chase me Mechanical Yeti?! WHY?!”
