If you want to display your photos on the internet then you no longer need a Web site. There are many sites set up that act as photo albums, such as Flickr. Flickr is a Web site you can use to easily share all of your photos with family and friends. The great part about this is your family can be anywhere in the world, but you still get chance to bore them with your photos!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check the size of your images, because if they are over 5MB, you will have to resize them or upgrade to the pro account.

  2. Step 2

Log in to your Flickr account. If you have trouble remembering your password, then set Flickr to remember your password.

  3. Step 3

Load the menu and locate the upload link, which is located in the "You" menu.

  4. Step 4

Select up to six of your photos to upload. This is particularly easy if you just locate all your photos on your computer.

  5. Step 5

Click "Ok" and it's all done automatically for you. This may take quite a long time depending on the number of photos and your connection speed.

  6. Step 6

Add permissions to certain images to restrict who is actually allowed to see them. This is great if some photos are private and you only want to share them with immediate family.

Tips & Warnings
  • All photos must be less than 5MB in order to upload to the free service.
  • If you must have files above 5MB then upgrade to the pro account. It lets you have files up to 10MB.
  • There is no need to manually create thumbnail images, as Flickr does it all for you.
  • There are other ways to upload photos, the easiest being to send them in an email to your Flickr account address.
  • Create contacts in Flickr so you can assign people to the "family and friends" groups. By doing this, they will be authorized to see your photos.
  • Only the newest 200 photos will be displayed with the free account, so be careful not to add too much.
