A Yahoo Group is a group of people with like interests. Benefits to submitting articles to a Yahoo Group include faster indexing within Yahoo, increased traffic to your Web site due to Yahoo's spiders that crawl the Web site, and faster indexing of your site in Yahoo due to increased crawls of your site due to back links.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Log onto Yahoo using your favorite search engine.

  2. Step 2

    Click on "Groups" on Yahoo's front page.

  3. Step 3

    Type in a keyword that pertains to your Web site in the search box.

  4. Step 4

    Select and join a group.

  5. Step 5

    Sign into Yahoo using Yahoo ID and password.

  6. Step 6

    Complete the signup page for your group following Yahoo's detailed instructions.

Tips & Warnings
  • Select a public group.
  • Create a user ID from the Yahoo front page if you do not have one already.
  • Try to join the most active groups. Yahoo will show how many people are in a group when you are searching.
  • Do not use your primary email. Google groups can be subjected to spammers picking up email addresses.
