Online store owners have a vested interest in hiring writers. In order to increase their page ranking on search engines, they must have fresh, new material on a regular basis. However, most online store owners are occupied with other aspects of their businesses and do not have time to write the articles themselves.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
Step1
Determine whether or not you will need to mention the Web site or their specific items in the article. Some store owners need to have articles written about the types of products they sell, but cannot have their Web site or specific items in the article.
Step2
Take time to really get to know and understand what the online store is all about.
Step3
Identify your target audience.
Step4
Write articles in a language that will appeal to your target audience. For example, humorous articles would be good for a practical joke store while more elegant writing will be appropriate for a stationery store.
Step5
Proofread your article to make sure you have spelled everything correctly, especially the owner's Web site if it is included in the article.
Step6
Submit your article to the online store owner.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to have a good understanding of the product the Internet store sells.
  • Be sure to check with the owner for keywords or phrases and their necessary density.
  • Do not misspell anything related to the Web site or keywords and phrases.
  • Only submit original work.
